I. Connecting with RDP Client
 
1. Windows XP Home/Pro users click the Start Menu and choose Programs, Accessories, Communications, Remote Desktop Connection.

Note: If you need a Windows version other than XP (e.g. Windows 95, Windows 98 and 98 Second Edition, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, or Windows 2000), download the Remote Desktop Connection Software from here.  

Note: If you need a MAC version, download the Remote Desktop Connection Software from here.  

2. You will see this Remote Desktop Connection window. 

3. Enter maplewood.com and click Connect. The Windows Server log on window will appear:

5. Enter your User name and Password. If MWOOD does not automatically appear in the Log on to box, please enter it (after you log on for the first time, this field will be automatically populated the next time you log on.

6. Click OK when you have finished. The Maplewood Login form will appear.


II. Connecting via an IE Web Session
 
1. Windows XP SP2 users special instructions. ** If you do not need to install the Active X plug-in, skip to step 7.
If you are running Windows XP SP2 you may need to install the Active X plug-in. If so you will get a message that looks like this in your web browser

2. Click OK to continue with the installation. You will see this window:

3. Click OK to acknowledge that you have seen the Information Bar and wish to continue with the installation:

4. Now click the ActiveX control installation bar to open a drop down menu. This will give you the option to install the Active X plug-in.  

 
5. Select the Install ActiveX Control option and you will see a Security Warning dialogue box:
 

6. Click the Install button and the v4 RDP Only Web Push Active X plug-in will install. After the RDP installation, you will be prompted to install the Remote Desktop ActiveX Control.
 
 
 
7. Click Install to continue. The Windows Server log on window will appear:

8. Enter your User name and Password. If MWOOD does not automatically appear in the Log on to box, please enter it (after you log on for the first time, this field will be automatically populated the next time you log on).

9. Click OK when you have finished. You will see the Maplewood Login form appear.
