Maplewood Enterprise: Secondary and Elementary

Maplewood Enterprise allows the centralization of data based upon a Microsoft SQL Server database. Many boards will prefer Maplewood Enterprise to benefit from the advantages of a central SQL Server database.

If deployed within a fast wide-area network, all applications come from a single source and are maintained centrally, which simplifies maintenance. Because the system is fully ODBC compliant, third party reporting tools are applicable for trained users. The transfer of data to other applications, such as library and transportation systems, can be done centrally without copying the current data to the board office. Since the data is completely centralized, there is a single record for each student in the board. This eliminates the need to correlate a student’s data from multiple distributed school databases. Centralization also allows a single definition of many tables to ensure consistency of data throughout the board.


Maplewood Student Administration: Secondary and Elementary

Maplewood offers two main sophisticated, cost-effective suites of school administration software: the Maplewood Secondary system and the Maplewood Elementary system. The systems have been specifically designed to automate the management of school and division data in either official language. Features include: student and staff records, timetables, attendance, achievement reporting, student scheduling, regulatory reporting, special education programs, exam scheduling, and security.

Both systems are the foundation of other Maplewood specialized integrated applications and additional programs. Applications included with both systems consist of: Central Office, Maplewood connectEd, Co-op Manager and a PDA application. The Maplewood Suites may be on a network or stand alone backbone.

Maplewood Library
 
In conjunction with a school administration suite, the Library system provides a user-friendly, comprehensive method to manage all aspects of a school’s library. Features include staff and student circulation, Public Access Catalogue, MARC and Library of Congress compatibility. The Library system is accessible to the Librarian, administration and teachers. The application is available in a Windows or Web environment.
