Administration System
Requirements and Filename Conventions for all Maplewood Products:
Note: The system's
image display area for student and staff records is 126x126 pixels. The
system will automatically resize your image to fit; however, we strongly
recommended that your images be 126x126 pixels. This will eliminate any
risk of potential distortion caused by the system shrinking the image
to fit.
Larger photographs could also adversely affect system performance where
ever they are displayed - this affects both Windows and
Web applications.
Student Pictures
- Student pictures will display
in students records in the admin system if they are BMP, GIF or JPG. BMP
images should be 16 bit colour or higher.
- Student pictures will display
in students records and in the attendance/seating plan screen in Classroom
Manager if they are BMP, GIF or JPG.
- Student pictures will display
and print in Report Builder reports if they are BMP, JPG or GIF.
- Student pictures will display
and print in Print Lists if they are BMP.
- Student
pictures will display in the library system if they are BMP
- Each student's photo must be named
using the 3-letter code (e.g. AJK. GIF). The photographer will need to
know the 3-letter code of each student.
Staff Pictures
- Staff pictures will display in
students records in the admin system if they are BMP, JPG or GIF. BMP images
should be 16 bit colour or higher.
- Staff pictures will display and
print in Report Builder reports if they are BMP or GIF.
- Staff records can also include
pictures. Each staff member has a 2-letter code in the staff record. If
you take pictures of your staff members, then the photo file must be named
using the 2-letter code (e.g. AB.GIF).
Parent/Guardian
Pictures
- Parent/Guardian
pictures will display in
students records in the admin system if they are BMP, JPG or GIF. BMP images
should be 16 bit colour or higher.
- Parent/Guardian
pictures will display and
print in Report Builder reports if they are BMP, JPG or GIF.
- Each parent/guardian
uses the a student 3-letter code plus M for mother, F for father or G for
guardian. (e.g. ABCG.GIF). If the parent/guardian has more than one child
in the school, then there will need to be an equal number of
parent/guardian pictures to match (e.g. A set of parents has 2 children
named Bobby and Jane, there will need to be 2 pictures for the mother and
two pictures for the father - BBBF.gif for Bobby's father and JJBF.gif for
Jane's father; then BBBM.gif for Bobby's mother and JJBM.gif for Jane's
mother).
Pocket PC
- The Pocket PC will display student
pictures if they are .BMP or .JPG.
